Hi, I’m Jackie!
I’m an illustrator living in New Jersey.
I work primarily in acrylic gouache, colored pencil, and various water soluble media to create sweet, playful characters.
Growing up among the farms and wetlands of Pennsylvania and accompanying my parents to flea markets and antique malls, I developed a love of the natural world and appreciation for objects and people whose stories began long before mine.
When not making art, I can be found reading (recent favorites: Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin); rewatching a comfort show like Gilmore Girls, Downton Abbey, or It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (what? don’t we contain multitudes?); thrifting and antiquing; fawning over someone else’s art at a museum; walking around the local nature preserve; satisfying my sweet tooth; and spending time with my 4 year old son.
For children’s book illustration, I am represented by Jennifer Mattson at Andrea Brown Literary Agency.
